The settlement Bolshoje Selo of the Bolsheselskij Rural District is the most attractive recreational zone, represents the natural, historical and cultural environment for creation of boarding houses, rest houses and camp sites. Absence of the industrial enterprises breaking ecology, the amazing and diverse nature of these surprising places allows to organize in district a zone of cultural rest for local population and visitors from other regions of the country, near and far abroad.
Taking into account a historical value of separate objects - monuments of architecture of 19 centuries in territory of Rural Districts of Michurinskij, Kanash, Malomozhajskij, Ulijanovo there is an opportunity for development of the cognitive, cultural - historical tourism.
In the district there is a line of private houses which simultaneously are farms, ready to accept foreign tourists. The village for foreign visitors represents special interest the originality, an opportunity of dialogue with the nature and fauna. In this connection opening guest houses and creation of favorable conditions for productive leisure and developments of rural tourism is planned.
Regional tourist routes taking place through Neman District will allow tourists of far abroad to get acquainted with historical and cultural sights of our territory closer.
Tourist agencies of Kaliningrad for productive leisure of foreign tourists organize bicycle routes. The bicycle route passes through Chernyakhovsk - Ulianovo- Gusev also provides a stop in Uljanovo for rest and visiting of a study of local lore museum which is created in an average comprehensive school since November, 17, 1981. The exposition of a museum reflects a history of East Prussia, the Kaliningrad Region, Neman District and Uljanovo. In a museum subjects and things of the first immigrants are submitted. As a result of active cooperation representatives of 27 countries of the world, former inhabitants of East Prussia, have visited this museum. Annually the museum is visited by foreign visitors from Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Austria, the USA. Canada, Australia and other countries.
