Neman (Ragnit) - an administrative centre of the Neman District - is located on southern coast of river Neman (Memel) in a northeast part of the Kaliningrad Region and is from the regional center - Kaliningrad - on distance of 130 kms.
Extent of the District from the north on the south is 30 kms, from the west on the east - 40 kms. The general area of territory makes 69830 hectares, including the area of territory of Neman - 1447 hectares
